ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR NEW STUDENTS
Orientation has now become a tradition at the beginning of every academic year in this college. All new students are orientated. Lower sixth forms are further orientated in the choices of their specialty. Study the general orientation below before you come to the college.
1. AIM OF THE COLLEGE
The aim of this institution is to give the students a sound Christian Education, which considers the whole aggregate of the human person. It also offers to its students solid principles in Technical and Commercial subjects. It admits boys and girls with opportunities offered to Boarding, regular and full time computer students.
2. DISCIPLINE:
It is the key to every successful accomplished life. Compromising discipline means compromising one’s future life. Discipline is:
The ability to forgo immediate benefits in order to attain a future worthwhile goal.
If one sees a future career as a worthwhile goal, one has to accept the means to attain it.
It means hard work in every aspect of college life.
The best time to develop discipline is when one is still young.
Use this as opportunity to cultivate good habits.
“Discipline is the hidden ingredient that turns nobodies into some bodies”, (a saying)
Discipline is very strongly recommended in the college.
3. SPIRITUAL LIFE:
Attendance of Holy Mass, Prayers, Recollection Sunday, Retreats, Group Prayers, Confession, and Spirituality plays a vital part in the training of students.
This being a Catholic College, spirituality plays a vital part in the training of students.
Every student is expected to take his/her spiritual life seriously as any other aspect of college life.
Reluctance in this aspect of college life is a strong indication of an unwillingness to stay in the college.
