Introduction

REGINA PACIS HIGHER TECHNICAL AND COMMERCIAL COLLEGE (REPACOL) was created on 10th Nov. 1997 by the Ministerial Order No 165/J2/3064/MINEDUC/SG/DEP/SCAFCCS/SECP, giving REGINA PACIS HIGHER TECHNICAL COLLEGE an autonomous identity. The college is a co-educational boarding school whose main aim is to give the learners solid principles in technical and commercial studies, sound Christian education, thereby molding aggregate human persons in moral, social, academic and career orientation. Because of limited resources, emphasis is laid on commercial disciplines such as: Accounting, Marketing, Commerce and Finance, Business Management, Word and Data Processing, Business Mathematics, just to name a few.

At inception, the school had an enrolment of about 300 students. Given the quality of education offered and the relevance of commercial education crowned with the excellent performance in internal and external examinations, the school has experienced rapid increase in the population which has swollen to about 800 students. The security and protection of these students is well guaranteed.

The school, under the auspices of the Diocese of Buea has benefited from the Diocese the existing Methuselah buildings of the then Teachers’ Training College. At moment the school is undertaking a giant project in the construction of the boys’ dormitory under the supervision of the Diocese.
